In 1969, Baron started producing solid brass belt buckles for the leather industry. After becoming an industry leader, the Baron family knew they needed to expand to the upcoming trends and demands. Kay Baron revolutionized the industry by being the first to bring in the metal manufacturing of frames from China to the United States. This is when Baron integrated its metal manufacturing and distribution skills to the automotive industry. In the late 1970’s, the solid brass License Plate Frame was born.

In the 1980’s, Baron continued to revolutionize the automotive accessories industry. We started with personalized license plate frames for unique individuals that rapidly evolved into mass market, mail order, automotive dealerships, motorcycle dealerships and personal engravers. In 1986 Baron became Baron & Baron, Inc. and was an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of high end automotive and novelty metal products. Over the years Baron & Baron, Inc. has continued to work with several major automotive and promotional companies: Harley-Davidson, GM, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, Walt Disney, Jack Daniels, and many more.

In 1997 Catherine Baron started License Frame Inc. (LFI) as Baron’s sister company. Companies such as Microsoft, DreamWorks, and countless automotive brands imprinted their logos on License Plate Frames, Trailer Hitch Covers, Vanity Front License Plates, Key Chains and Fashion Jewelry. LFI’s amazing quality and unbeatable customer service could be seen in promotional items for the ASI and PPAI industry. We also made an impact in the retail industry through engravers, kiosks, car washes, specialty stores, automotive dealerships, aftermarket and OEM.

Today, License Frame Inc. has merged with Baron & Baron Inc., and continues to set the benchmark for the all other products to be measured against.
